We all have mountains to climb,
Promises to keep and goals to reach.
We plant the seeds of faith and trust
In the minds of the children we teach.
We seek the strength to climb higher,
As knowledge pushes us beyond frustration.
We pause to rest, to praise, to smile,
To acknowledge moments of exhileration.
At the end we know it has been worth
Every step of this long, hard climb -
For at the top the view is spectacular:
A rainbow that spans generations of time.
